    Important Notice for Diversity Visa (DV) 2012 Entrants

    4/11/2012: Successful entrants are encouraged to send in their required documents to the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) immediately, so that an interview appointment at the appropriate U.S. Embassy or consulate can be scheduled before the program ends.

    Visa Processing Fees to Change on April 13, 2012

    3/30/2012: Effective April 13, 2012, the Department of State will adjust visa processing fees. The fees for most nonimmigrant visa applications and Border Crossing Cards will increase, while all immigrant visa processing fees will decrease.

    Information for Visa Applicants Holding Non-Biometric Albanian Passports

    1/17/2012: The Consular Section of U.S. Embassy in Tirana informs all visa applicants, holding Albanian non-biometric passports that effective immediately, U.S. visas will not be placed in non-biometric Albanian passports.

    8/10/2011: Effective August 15, 2011, petitioners residing overseas will no longer be able to routinely file Forms I-130, Petitions for Alien Relative, with U.S. Embassies and Consulates except in locations where U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has a public counter presence within the Embassy or Consulate.

    7/6/2011: The Department of State deployed an updated version of the DS-160 Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application on Saturday, June 25, with additional questions and improved translations in some languages.
