Embassy Donates Equipment to MOPO (Feb. 3, 2005)

On Monday 01/31, the U.S. Embassy in Tirana donated $40,000 worth of equipment to the Ministry of Public Order. MOPO Chief of Cabinet Ylli Hyka accepted the donation on behalf of the ministry.

The equipment, consisting of computers, digital cameras, printers, and scanners, is the second part of an earlier FBI donation to the MOPO that included five vehicles already in use by the Ministry. This equipment will help to improve the MOPO's criminal investigative capabilities in its efforts to fight crime.
