U.S. Embassy Statement
The U.S. Embassy welcomes the EU Enlargement Report that recommends approval of Albania’s candidacy status subject to further key reforms. The recommendation is a testimony to the constructive policies pursued by all political parties over the past year and thus represents an historic opportunity for Albanians. We strongly support Albania’s EU integration efforts and urge all parties to continue to display the needed cooperation to complete and implement the still outstanding reforms.
