Giving Blood to Save Lives

 
The U.S. Embassy, in cooperation with the Red Cross, held a blood drive yesterday inside the Embassy in order to donate blood to the Albanian Blood Bank.  The Red Cross, working with the U.S. Embassy’s Medical Office, gathered 34 liters of blood.  The Embassy’s Medical Officer, David Stallings, said, “It’s our absolute privilege for the Embassy staff to donate blood. Blood donation is important as donating blood means saving life.” The Embassy participates in blood drives every six months to support the Red Cross and the Albanian Blood Bank.
