Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) of U.S., Albanian, Croatian, and Macedonian Armed Forces (May 30, 2006)
United States European Command will organize a Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) of Special Operations Forces from the U.S. and Adriatic Charter (A3) countries Albania, Croatia and Macedonia between May 30 and June 30, 2006. The training will include classes on leadership and planning, rifle marksmanship and drilling techniques, close quarter battle and military operations in urban environments, small unit tactics, basic individual troop-leading procedures, and collective war fighting skills.
This interactive JCET will provide over 100 members of U.S. and A3 Special Forces with an opportunity to develop military, linguistic and intercultural skills. It is part of the ongoing military-to-military relationship that the U.S. enjoys with Albania and the other A3 countries and the European Command’s partnership initiatives.
The U.S. military has developed solid working relationships with the militaries of Albania, Macedonia and Croatia, relationships that are based on mutual respect and a candid exchange of ideas. This JCET provides an excellent environment for U.S. and A3 countries’ militaries to learn from one another and share techniques. Special Operations Forces have missions whose success is contingent upon the ability to interface with partner military forces from other countries. JCETs are excellent forums in which to prepare and train for these vital missions.
